Trajectories: the exhibition that questions our mobility

After a first theme season on the theme of air (2014-2017), the project "Questions of Science, Citizens Issues" ² (QSEC²) continues on the theme of mobility through a new traveling exhibition "Trajectories, the expo that questions our mobility.”

Presented from January 9 to March 10, 2018 at the Espace des Sciences Pierre-Gilles de Gennes of the ESPCI Paris and PSL, the exhibition Trajectoires explores the different facets of mobility, born from the link between movement (of the body, individuals, populations) and society (history, economy, urbanism, culture, etc.).

Three thematic centers explore the interactions between these two concepts at different scales: that of the individual, that of the city or that of the planet.

Here, there is no imposed course or path, only a free adventure that invites mobility! Testimonials, interactive manipulations, digital devices: children as adults, everyone is invited to not only experiment, discover, and question themselves, but also to take a stand on social issues.

An exhibition with citizens

Playful, interactive and participative, this exhibition is part of the project Questions of Science, Citizens Issues² (QSEC²). Funded by the Île-de-France Region and the Investments for the Future program, QSEC² aims to develop dialogue between citizens, researchers and elected representatives around the societal impacts of science and technology.

Groups of citizens from Île-de-France have thus engaged for several months in an exchange with scientists and participated in the realization of the exhibition.

A living exhibition

The exhibition, Trajectories travels the Île-de-France from November 2017 to February 2020. It continues to grow and evolve through the participation of partner groups and citizens, through a special cultural program. You too, can make your contribution!

A series of new animations on the topic of mobility has been specially designed for the occasion. Expect challenges of construction and creativity, debates, discussions and opportunities to tinker around, with varied topics such as approaches in the animal kingdom, migratory objects or transport!

Looking for a meeting with experts, a film debate or an urban walk around mobility? Ask us for the program and do not miss any of our events, conferences or meetings!
